Shawn Alshut RA, ASID, LEED AP
Shawn C. Alshut has more than 20 years of experience as an award-winning Architect and Interior Designer. As both designer and manager, she has led corporate office, institutional, government, commercial and residential interior architecture/design projects including, the Tusculum College Library, McCallie School Dining Hall, and the Arlen Specter Headquarters and Operations Center at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, through all phases of design and construction. She practiced in Houston at CRSS and in Boston at Perry, Dean, Rogers and Partners and Tsoi/Kobus and Associates before moving to Atlanta in 1995 where she became an Associate Principal at tvsdesign, an internationally recognized architecture and interior design firm.
Shawn’s dual background as Architect and Interior Designer supports her belief that the exterior and interior of a building need to be conceived and designed as one holistic experience. She balances aesthetic and spatial considerations with marketplace realities. Successful projects stand the test of time, stylistically, functionally, and environmentally without sacrificing design integrity. As a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, she has worked with numerous clients on corporate office, residential, and government buildings to achieve LEED Certifications.
Shawn is the immediate past President of the ASID Georgia Chapter. She is also a founder of the ASID Georgia Silver Lining Group, providing support to design industry professionals “between engagements”. A life long Boston Red Sox fan and an ardent follower of Formula One and American LeMans Series auto racing, Shawn enjoys great design in all forms.
